As the Chairman of the Biannual Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong, I am honoured to welcome you all to an event that has been a cornerstone of our community for many years. This festival stands as a testament to our shared appreciation for the craftsmanship, skill, and heritage encapsulated in wooden boats.

It is a celebration of our rich maritime history and a unique opportunity to share our collective knowledge and passion for these timeless vessels.

We are privileged to host this remarkable festival at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club, where we continue to honour the long-held tradition of wooden boat craftsmanship. With each festival, we aim not only to pay homage to these maritime marvels but also to contribute significantly to the vibrant Geelong community. There really is something for everybody with the festival delivering a lively combination of incredible local food, live entertainment, and music, to compliment the incredible displays and demonstrations of maritime history, craftsmanship and passion for wooden boats.

The festival brings together sailing enthusiasts, families, tourists, and locals alike, creating a sense of camaraderie and community spirit.
