It’s not often you will come across two people in their early 20s with the skills, knowledge and passion for wooden boat restoration, but the results are outstanding as seen in the restoration of ‘Clare’

‘Clare is a 40’ ketch planked in 1 ½” Jarrah which hs been restored by Jordy a 23 year old 3rd-year timber shipwright apprentice and Holly a 22 year old Master 5.

It was a perfect, sunny and relaxing start for the 2022 Portarlington to Geelong Passage Race.

The very first Row-the-Rip and subsequent St Ayles Skiff racing at the 2022 Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong was a resounding success.
